Vintage 1971 Seiko 7017-8000 Serviced Pulsimeter Watch All Original

The 7017-8000 featured a “flyback” function that allowed for the chronograph sweep to be reset without having to first stop the mechanism. This particular model is the seldom seen Pulsimeter Doctors Watch. The Pulsimeter is designed to read a patient’s heart rate. Start the chronograph timer and count 15 beats of yours or your patients heartbeat, stop the chronograph and you can read the heart rate in beats per minute on the dials scale.
 
This particular example dates from April 1971 and has a truly gorgeous original dial with amazing original lume and unfaded red chronograph hand. Watch retains its very comfortable and correct XAA531 bracelet and clasp. This Watch has not been refinished or polished and has its original factory brushing visible.
 
Just serviced by us and keeping very good time, quick set day and date also working perfectly. This Watch has not been pressure tested, so not currently waterproof.
