Vintage 1980 Seiko 7548-700B Serviced Rare JDM Divers Watch All Original
Presenting an all-original Seiko 7548 diver’s watch from January 1980—a model famously worn by General Norman Schwarzkopf. This Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) piece features both English and Kanji day display, with a smooth hacking and quickset function for both day and date, all operating flawlessly. The screw-down crown functions effortlessly, and the watch keeps excellent time, having just received a full service, including new seals and a genuine Seiko battery.
Condition is very good, showing minor signs of use and age, but with no damage or heavy wear. This watch retains its original factory parts, with an untouched factory finish on the case (not re-polished). It’s fitted with a brand-new, premium Uncle Seiko Z199 bracelet with fat spring bars, still in its protective plastic.
The recent full service (November/24) included fitting a new Seiko battery and precision testing on a Seiko quartz tester, confirming outstanding accuracy (photos available). The quick-set day and date function as they should, as does the hacking feature and screw-down crown. New seals were installed, but the watch hasn’t been pressure-tested, so waterproof status is not guaranteed.
As the exclusive Australian dealer for Uncle Seiko products, we offer a range of straps on our website—please reach out if you’d prefer an alternative strap.
Please review the photos and video carefully, as they capture the watch’s condition in detail.
A Note on Owning a Vintage Watch
Vintage timepieces may not keep time as precisely as modern quartz watches and occasionally require servicing. These watches have wear and patina reflecting their history, adding to their character and charm. With care and gentle handling, your watch will continue to serve you well.
